India Lockdown 2.0 Announced PM Narendra Modi: PM Modi has announced the extension of the complete lockdown of the whole country till May 3, 2020. Today on 14th April 2020, PM M Narendra Modi has announced at 10:00 AM that Whole country complete lockdown will extend till May 3 while addressing the nation. The nationwide lockdown imposed for 21 days has come to end today. Earlier some state governments have already announced lockdown extension in their respective states. Now, an announcement made by PM Modi today about the Lockdown Extension.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the nation at 10 am on this last day of the nationwide lockdown, announced a new extension of the nationwide lockdown until May 3, 2020. PM also shared his words that India is in a much stable position compared to several powerful countries in the world by taking timely measures of social distancing and lockdown. As per recent records by Tuesday morning, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases has crossed 10,000 + mark in India and the death toll reached 339. So,  Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to extend lockdown till May 3 by taking suggestions from various states CMs. Mostly all the States Cheif Ministers are in favor of extension of lockdown to prevent the transmission of Coronavirus in India.

Recent Reports on Corona Virus in India

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,  Joint Secretary at the Health Ministry, Lav Agarwal, stated that Total number of Covid-19 cases has reported approx 10,000 in the country. By Monday (13-04-2020), In past 24 Hours 141 people have recovered from novel coronavirus. The total number of cured persons are 857 upto now. A total of 796 new cases are admitted and 35 deaths have been reported since yesterday. Mr. Agarwal also stated that, our containment measures taken by the government are showing results in better way. Upto 25 districts from 15 states have not recorded any new cases since last 14 days. Everyone download the Aarogya Setu app, which is a technology initiative taken by our Indian government to track the infection of CoronaVirus. Approx 3.5 crore people have already downloaded this app. This Aarogya Setu is a mobile application to communicate essential health services with the people.
